bind me

flesh into flesh

my love

loom me into

being

stitched together

cross-seamed

creweled over

needle tracks

tuck me

into you

a new creation

not a beast

of two backs

but a singularity

with sun and moon

emblazoned on our form

tracing

the path of our desire

so tight

that we

wince in pleasure

our delight in ourselves

a glinting tapestry

woven from silver and gold

depicting

where the gods have tread

are we not

doubled over

coupled

underneath

so beautiful

we are

a sign

the hand

that stroked

the two-pronged unicorn

its mysteries obscure

shining in the between

elusive

a beast that prances

do the double pipe’s tune

stamping

that molded us

they say it is mythical

but are we not proof

of its miracles

its work is

resplendent

how it marks us

its unmistakeable

prints
all over us
