Submit to NonBinary Review

The first thing to know is that we’re looking for speculative work - poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and art. If you’re not sure what that means, here’s our definition.

NonBinary Review is open for submissions in February, May, August, and November. See our submission page for general information. All submissions go through Duosuma. You don’t have to have a paid Duotrope account to submit through Duosuma.

And here are our future themes, so you can get your submission ready ahead of time!

Issue #46: Metamorphosis (early submissions open 15 July 2026, regular submissions open 1-31 August 2026)

We're looking for speculative poetry and prose that work best when read out loud. Stuff that's unimpressive to the naked eye, but a treat for the naked ear. The kind of works that might fall flat on the page, but come alive with the right reader. Nouns that sing. Verbs that dance. Adjectives whose eyelids flutter. Adverbs that play the bongos while wearing a beret and cat-eye sunglasses. You know what we're saying.

Prose pieces are limited to 1500 words, poetry pieces to 50 lines - both are paid at $15 per accepted piece.

Each episode is made up of multiple pieces, both prose and poetry. Accepted pieces will be read by the buttery-voiced Zoetic Press staff, although we are happy to have our mellifluous authors read their own works, provided that they can produce a recording of the necessary volume (quality we can usually fix, but it's hard to pump up the volume on someone who sounds like their microphone was in another room).

The 4 L P H 4 N U M 3 R 1 C podcast drops twice monthly on the 10th and 25th of each month.
